Installation

1. Visit the Chrome Web Store
2. Click "Add to Chrome" to install the extension
3. Open Gmail and click the Mailkea icon to sign in
4. Start using AI features in your compose window

How to Use

AI Reply Button

When you open a compose window to reply to an email:

1. Look for the AI Reply button in the compose toolbar
2. Click it to open the AI panel
3. View the email summary and suggested responses
4. Choose a suggestion or write custom instructions
5. Click Insert Reply to add the generated text to your email

Compose Panel Tabs

• Summary: View a quick summary of the email thread you're replying to
• Suggestions: Get AI-generated response suggestions
• Compose: Write custom instructions for your reply

Tone Options

Select your preferred tone before generating a reply:

• Professional: Formal business communication
• Friendly: Warm and approachable
• Concise: Brief and to the point
• Detailed: Comprehensive and thorough

Context Menu Actions

Right-click on any selected text to access Mailkea features:

• Save Selection to Mailkea: Save important text snippets
• Save Page to Mailkea: Clip the current page
• Mailkea Explain: Get AI explanations for selected text

Settings

Access extension settings by:

1. Clicking the Mailkea icon in your browser toolbar
2. Selecting "Settings"

Or right-click the extension icon and choose "Options".

Troubleshooting

Extension not working?

• Make sure you're signed in (click the extension icon)
• Refresh the Gmail page
• Check that the extension is enabled in Chrome

AI features not responding?

• Check your internet connection
• Verify you have credits remaining
• Try signing out and back in

Privacy & Security

• All data is encrypted in transit
• We only access emails when you explicitly use AI features
• No email content is stored on our servers
